Together, we can help our communities and natural places thrive.

Water is a precious resource …

That connects all Westerners and sustains our natural places. Our future in an arid region relies on stewarding water to meet the needs of our people, our natural environment, and our economy.

Yet our water challenges are mounting with more intense droughts and flooding, increased water demand from population and economic growth, and harmful pollution threats.  Our water infrastructure is outdated, put in place in the middle of last century, and traditional thinking on water has not kept pace with current challenges and emerging opportunities.

It is time to enable new, innovative approaches to meet our collective water needs.
