Ava Farriday co-leads the Safe, Clean Water Grants Program, which funds stormwater-focused community engagement and public education initiatives in Los Angeles County. Before coming to the Water Foundation, Ava worked at Heal the Bay as a watershed program coordinator supporting the Safe, Clean Water Program, working at the intersection of community engagement and stormwater capture. She received her B.S. in anthropology and geography from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo with minors in Spanish and Environmental Studies, dove straight into the water world post-graduation, and hasn’t looked back since.
